    OVERVIEW
We have a great up and coming Middle School program here at St. Mary Magdalen! We have recently started using a new model for Faith Formation that will help better engage the students, we have a yearly Middle School Retreat the last full weekend in February, and we are in the process of finding summer opportunities for the middle school students to continue to grow in their faith. Check below for more information on these opportunities!

    FAITH FORMATION
Our Middle School Faith Formation program takes place in a Youth Ministry setting! All students in grades 6-8 come together for some fellowship, games, and a talk before splitting off into small groups to further talk about the lesson. This allows students to build relationships with their small group peers, along with dive into the material in a way that will help them practically apply it to their lives and see how faith applies to everyday circumstances! We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:15pm – 7:45pm in the Den in the Family Center. The 2025-2026 year starts with an Open House on September 24, where parents and students are invited to come join us for a short Prayer Service (which will be part of every week’s schedule!) followed by a chance for you to meet your catechist(s), see the classroom you’ll be in, and ask any questions you may have! Normal classes will officially start the week after, on October 1. Email Brandy (bholt@stmmagdalen.org) or call the Parish Office for the registration paperwork!

    MIDDLE SCHOOL RETREAT
Every year, students in grades 6-8 have the opportunity to participate in the Middle School Retreat that takes place at our parish! The High School students spend months planning, organize, and decorating so the Middle School students can enter fully into a retreat experience. The retreat takes place at St. Mary Magdalen in the Family Center. The students get the chance to stay overnight at the church and take part in a weekend where they make some great memories, new friends, and of course, encounter Jesus in a deeper way. The retreat is always the last full weekend in February – this year’s is February 20-22! Save the date and be on the lookout for an official sign-up to come!
