Katelyn Fosdick

From the first time I walked into St. Mary Magdalen, I was overwhelmed by the warm welcome, vibrant joy, and deep faith of this parish. I was blessed to become the Director of Liturgical Music in January of 2024. Every day has been a gift from working with choirs to meeting with brides and grooms to daily life in the parish. I grew up in Grand Rapids and attended Immaculate Heart of Mary parish which is where my love for music ministry began. Growing up, I mainly studied piano and violin with my vocal training beginning in church choir. Throughout college, I studied music and Theology, and I graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. In my senior year of college, I interned at St. Robert of Newminster under the music director and worked there after graduation. 

My husband and I met while I was in college and got married in August of 2023. We love living in Grand Rapids as we are close to family and many friends. I am truly grateful for the many blessings God has bestowed, especially being a part of St. Mary Magdalen Parish.
