Lunar New Year

The Lunar New Year is a significant celebration in many cultures, especially in Asian communities. It marks the beginning of a new year based on the lunar calendar. The date of the Lunar New Year changes each year, falling between late January and mid-February. This joyous occasion is a time for family reunions, honoring ancestors, and celebrating new beginnings. At our parish, the Vietnamese parishioners will host this celebration on the Sunday closest to the Lunar New Year, featuring a Thanksgiving Mass, traditional foods, dragon dance, lucky money and entertainment.
