Cantor Ministry
The ministry of cantor/song leader is primarily to sing the psalm and Gospel acclamation. A secondary role is to assist the assembly in the singing of songs and hymns. This role requires a dedication to delivering the word of God in music, a comfortable presence in front of the assembly, a pleasant voice and the willingness to learn music independently.
- Requirement: Audition, music reading helpful but not essential
- Mass: Assigned based on your schedule

St. Mary Madgalen Choir
The St. Mary Magdalen adult choir is open to all men and women high school age and up. Its primary purpose is to promote full, conscious and active participation at liturgy among the members of the assembly.
The Adult Choir prepares music of many styles and genres including Chant, Traditional and Contemporary arrangements. Much of our literature includes three and four part singing. There is no audition for the Adult Choir and music reading skills are helpful but not required. A pleasant singing voice and good ear are encouraged. Voice part recordings are available to enhance the rehearsal process for readers and non-readers alike. The typical Adult Choir rehearsal consists of warm-up vocal exercises, vocal technique instruction, prayer, music rehearsal and fellowship. Music is rehearsed in a fast paced, fun environment. We are also a very social community with many opportunities for fun and fellowship among our members and their families
- The Adult Choir provides music for the 11:00 AM Mass, as well as select Holy Days including Christmas and Easter.
- Rehearsal: Thursday evenings
- Sunday Warm-ups are prior to Mass at 10:15 in room 2.
